Thankful for this Season and Beyond
Dear Friends,
Throughout the year we’ve been visiting communities across Wisconsin and we’ve heard your stories and gotten to know you. This holiday season, we wanted to take the opportunity to share some of our stories and tell you about all the things that we’re thankful for here at the Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin team.
This Thanksgiving season I have quite a lot to be thankful for. Marsy’s Law passed its first legislative hurdle in our quest for equal rights for crime victims when the State Senate and Assembly approved it with strong bipartisan support in the last few weeks.
This past weekend I was able to represent Marsy’s Law at the 2017 Women’s Expo. When talking with supporters of Marsy’s Law I heard from countless women who described their wish to see stronger rights for victims of crime here in Wisconsin. I am thankful that we have so many supporters willing to help out and be involved in our efforts.
I am also thankful for the opportunity to be part of a new community here in Madison, Wisconsin. Everyone has been so warm and welcoming in this great city. It is never easy to leave your home and move to a new place, but with great family and friends, the whole moving experience was made easier.
On behalf of our whole team, I want to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving from Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin; we hope that you have as much to be thankful for this year as we do.
Matt Johnson
