April 7-13 is National Crime Victims' Rights Week! Check out all the exciting plans that the Marsy's Law for Wisconsin team has in store for this important nationwide observance of victims' rights and find out all the ways that you can get involved! The Marsy's Law for Wisconsin team will be attending a variety of great events throughout the week in support of victims' rights alongside members of our grassroots coalition. Check out some of the events below and mark your calendars: 

Saturday, April 6
9:00 a.m.

WCASA Survivors & Allies Day of Healing: the MLWI team will be attending the Day of Healing in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We hope you'll join us at this fantastic event for survivors and allies and kick off the start of National Crime Victims' Right Week!

2:00 p.m.
WCASA 8th Annual Wrap Around the Capitol: the MLWI team will be joining survivors and allies from throughout the state to rally in solidarity with sexual assault survivors and promote the continued healing for all survivors.
Tuesday, April 9
10:00 a.m.
NCVRW Press Conference: the MLWI team will be leading a press conference at the State Capitol with survivors and some of our bipartisan legislative sponsors to promote the importance of equal rights for crime victims. We invite you to join us in support at 10:00 a.m. in the Senate Parlor!
Tuesday, April 9
11:30 a.m.
MLWI Survivors and Allies Lunch: the MLWI team will be following our press conference with a Survivors and Allies Lunch at the State Capitol. Join us to share your story or hear from some of the incredible survivors who have shared their stories in support of equal rights for crime victims, as well their allies from law enforcement and legislators to victim advocates. We invite you to join us at 11:30 a.m. in room 300 SE!

12:00 p.m.
Crime Victims' Rights Week Ceremony: Join the Wisconsin Department of Justice Office of Crime Victim Services for a special celebration of crime victims' rights featuring survivor writing and student response art created through the Untold Stories Program of Lotus Legal Clinic. The ceremony is open to the public and will be held at 12:00 p.m. on the first-floor rotunda of the Wisconsin State Capitol 
Thursday, April 11
5:30 p.m.

Evening of Solidarity: the MLWI team will be joining Bluff Country Family Resources at Pettibone Resort for an evening of community, awareness, and to show our collective resolve to actively address interpersonal violence in our communities. We hope to see you there!
