Introducing Jack
My name is Jack and I am a new summer intern at Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin! I am currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison pursuing a major in Neurobiology with a Certificate in Criminal Justice and Leadership. I will be entering my senior year in September and intend on applying to law school following undergrad.
Throughout my academic experience at UW-Madison, I have had the opportunity to take classes that discuss civil rights and criminal justice. These classes have aligned with my interests in law and government, and inspired me to pursue positive change in my state. I believe that Marsy’s Law offers a great opportunity to delve into the complexities of the legal system and improve them. I look forward to the unique opportunity of hearing stories from victims of crimes while gaining support for the cause.
It is an honor to be part of an organization that will help empower victims. I believe that victims of crime should have certain enumerated rights in the Wisconsin Constitution not just under statutes. Working at Marsy’s Law will allow me to be part of valuable change for victims’ rights. I am excited to learn more this summer and help Wisconsin to move forward.
Sincerely,
Jack
