Continuing Growth in the New Year
Happy New Year! For me, 2017 was a year that consisted of growth. I began my junior year as an undergraduate, traveled, and accepted a communications internship. One of the greatest highlights of 2017 for me was the opportunity to work with Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin–an initiative I wholeheartedly believe in.
I joined the Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin team in May, and have continuously witnessed the power Marsy’s Law has for our state. It’s incredible to me that nearly 80% of Wisconsinites support equal rights for crime victims! I am truly encouraged by our growing list of endorsements and our bipartisan support.
I have spoken to countless Wisconsinites about Marsy’s Law, whether that be on our social media platforms, or at various grassroots events. The people I connect with are as ready as they are excited to make Marsy’s Law a reality. Testifying to what Matt mentioned in last week’s blog, our community members are eager to make a change for victims’ rights–whether they’re legislators, part of our law enforcement, our strong survivors, our families, or our friends.
Let’s work together to ensure 2018 is bright in success and growth for Marsy’s Law! I look forward to building the growing coalition of support and fighting for our victims of crime by ensuring them equal rights.
I wish you all the best as we begin 2018!
