Survivors of Crime Need You (Yes, You!)

We’re barnstorming the state, and we need your help!

Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin’s bipartisan legislation to amend the state Constitution to ensure equal rights for crime victims was recently introduced in the state Legislature. So far we have 42 Republicans and Democrats cosponsoring our legislation – a strong start.

But we need to do more, and that’s where you come in. We need lawmakers in every corner of the state to hear from their constituents. They’ll be joining a broad and growing coalition of legislators, law enforcement, victims’ rights groups, attorneys and – most important of all – survivors of crime.

Consider this most recent story about sexual assault survivor Fiona Wakefield, who was just 14 years old when she was drugged and raped. Fiona says that if she grew up knowing she had rights equal to her attacker, she might have come forward sooner. There are so many like her in Wisconsin communities.

Join the fight. Ask your local lawmaker to support Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin.
