Stepping into Spring with a Great Start
We can’t believe that it’s already Spring in Wisconsin! The last couple months have flown by, and the Marsy’s Law team wanted to take the opportunity to recap some of the things that we’ve been up to already in 2018.
The Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin team started the New Year off on a great foot with a couple exciting developments. We welcomed a new staff member and are so thrilled to have Ashley as part of our state team; she has jumped right into her role traveling the state to raise awareness of Marsy’s Law. We also got to kick off 2018 with the announcement that Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin had earned the endorsement of more than 100 Chiefs of Police from across our state!
More recently, we’ve had the exciting opportunity to partner with some of our state’s most prominent law enforcement organizations for their annual conferences. These events have given us the chance to talk to Sheriffs, Police Chiefs, and other members of the law enforcement community from all over the Badger state and hear about some of their experiences in the line of duty. All of these opportunities also helped us reach a major milestone: our growing coalition recently announced that we had earned 350 prominent endorsements!
During the last couple weeks, we were also very excited to introduce Wisconsin to our Dane County Chair, Kate, whose story was recently told in the Cap Times. We’re inspired by her experience as a survivor and honored to have her advocating for Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin.
We’re thrilled to have accomplished so much already in 2018 and can’t wait to see what else the year has in store. Happy Spring from Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin!
Sincerely,
Luke Martz
State Director
