Looking Forward to Fall

We’ve been seeing you at events all across the state, from the Waukesha County Fair to EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh. As we begin looking forward to Fall, we’re thankful for all the excitement around equal rights for crime victims – and we want to make sure everyone knows what the fight ahead looks like!

To ensure equal rights for Wisconsin crime victims, we have to amend the state Constitution. That means a long fight and several crucial steps, including:

  • Building support for Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin in the state Legislature, which you can help with by writing letters to the editor in your area. (You can locate your State Senator and State Representative here, and find contact information for your local newspaper and others across the state here.)
  • Earning committee support and then passing Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin in the state Legislature.
  • Passing Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin in a second session of the state Legislature, to get on the ballot.
  • Winning the support of voters across Wisconsin at the ballot box.

We are thankful for the overwhelming support we have already received throughout this process. There is a broad, bipartisan, and growing coalition in favor of Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin, and a recent poll showed nearly 80 percent of Wisconsinites support equal rights for crime victims!

Let’s continue working together to make equal rights for crime victims a reality. Spread the word with letters to the editor in your local paper, and call on your elected officials to support Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin!
