Good News for Equal Crime Victims' Rights from the State Capitol

As you know from seeing us in your community, we spend a lot of time on the road — but recently, we had some good news back at the State Capitol. Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin passed through a key state Assembly committee with overwhelming bipartisan support!

On a vote of 11 to 1, state lawmakers in a key committee approved our bipartisan legislation to ensure equal rights for crime victims. That means the full Assembly can take the legislation up, and that we’ve got great momentum as we work on passage in the State Senate and getting on the ballot to amend the Constitution.

We are gearing up to make equal rights for crime victims a reality!

This success was made possible through your support. As our team talked to Wisconsin community members, we heard a compelling need for Marsy’s Law statewide. Thanks to you, we gathered 175 key endorsements in just 150 days from victims’ advocates, law enforcement, legal experts, and others who have joined survivors of crime in their fight.

Wisconsinites understand that Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin is what our state needs to ensure equal rights for crime victims! That’s why nearly 80% of Wisconsin residents support Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin.
