What is the Wisconsin Victims’ Rights Conference?
This FREE two-day conference is a call to action in understanding, enforcing, and protecting the rights of victims of crime in Wisconsin. This inaugural conference will focus on assisting crime victims in asserting, accessing, and enforcing their rights in the criminal justice system, and is open to all members of the criminal justice system, including victim attorneys, prosecutors and defense attorneys, judges, community advocates, victim-witness coordinators, and survivors.
We are bringing together criminal justice professionals, victims’ rights attorneys, and victim advocates to choose from three tracks (criminal court system, victims’ attorneys, and survivor empowerment and survivorship) for two half-days to learn and share best practices around victim rights’ compliance in the criminal justice system.
The target audience of this conference is criminal justice professionals, including prosecutors, victim-witness professionals, judges, law enforcement officers, and probations agents, as well as victims’ rights attorneys and victim advocates.
