My name is Bronson Stein and I am the Legal Advocate at Bolton Refuge House, Inc in Eau Claire, WI. I am a second-generation victim advocate and strongly believe in the mission of ending violence against women and aiding all victims of crime. I live in western Wisconsin with my family. I am a member of the Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin Advisory Board and the Facilitator of the Eau Claire CCRT, a collaborative professional group designed to address the systemic response to intimate partner violence, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
It’s been about eight months since Wisconsin’s new crime victims’ constitutional amendment went into effect after being overwhelmingly approved by Wisconsin voters last April. In that short time, Wisconsin has already seen numerous examples of Marsy’s Law at work in the criminal justice system, where the amendment is giving victims a stronger voice, and bringing them to the forefront of the legal process.

April 19-25 is National Crime Victims' Rights Week! This year's celebration of victims' rights is particularly special here in Wisconsin, where our state's voters just passed Marsy's Law for Wisconsin with an overwhelming 75% of the vote.

Hello! My name is Jess and I’m one of the interns for Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin this Fall. I am a student at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and I’m studying Psychology, Social Welfare, and Criminal Justice. I will be graduating this December and then going on to grad school for Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
The Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin team had a great time over the past couple weeks attending the Wisconsin State Fair and speaking to fair attendees about the importance of Marsy’s Law and what it means for the state of Wisconsin.
